About the Newbery Award: The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded every year by the American Library Association. The award goes to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. The seals for the Honor Award are silver, and the Newbery Award is gold. Look for the seal on the book’s cover. If you see it, you know that many people think your book choice is a real winner!

"Bud, Not Buddy" by Christopher Paul Curtis, reviewed by Laura C.
Laura, You did a wonderful job with this blog. I enjoyed how you showed excitement in you voice as you shared this book. The way to introduced the book, but didn't give too much away really makes me want to read it. Great job! Mom
