About the Newbery Award: The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded every year by the American Library Association. The award goes to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. The seals for the Honor Award are silver, and the Newbery Award is gold. Look for the seal on the book’s cover. If you see it, you know that many people think your book choice is a real winner!

Rhiannon, Your podcast of "Joey Pigza Loses Control" was a great blog because you gave lot's of information about what happened in the story like Joey's parents were divorced and Joey started to lose control also you made me want to read this book.
