About the Newbery Award: The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded every year by the American Library Association. The award goes to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. The seals for the Honor Award are silver, and the Newbery Award is gold. "Mr. Popper's Penguins" by Richard & Florence Atwater, reviewed by David T.
David, Your podcast of "Mr. Popper's Penguins" was amazing because I liked how you told me how many penguins Mr. Popper had and how many were born and you were very descriptive about the shows the penguins went to and I think I would be interested in reading this book.
David, 'Mr. poppers penguins' sounds like a very good book. The movie sounds less detailed than the book. You put in a lot of details I think I would like it.
David, I loved listening to your podcast, "Mr. Popper's Penguins". It had great describing words. I also like the way you said the penguins kept adding up. It makes me want to read it because, it sounds a lot better than the movie. That is because in the movie the penguins did not get famous.
