About the Newbery Award: The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded every year by the American Library Association. The award goes to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. The seals for the Honor Award are silver, and the Newbery Award is gold. Look for the seal on the book’s cover. If you see it, you know that many people think your book choice is a real winner!

"Sounder" by William Armstrong, reviewed by Devin M.
Devin, Your voice was nice and clear when I was listening to it. I like the detail about 25 cents for kernels to show about the time period. Nice job! Mrs.DiAcetis
